Curable polymers are prepared by copolymerizing ethylene with at least one otherα- olefin, e.g. propylene, and a 5-alkylidene norbornene-2 together with at least 0À2% of dicyclopentadiene, the ratio of dicyclopentadiene to 5-alkylidene norbornene being less than 1 : 5. Hydrogen is used as a molecular weight controller and the catalyst exemplified is a mixture of monoethylaluminium dichloride and diethylaluminium monochloride.</p> |
