<p>In - line flow cell for use in an optical sensing system to measure the constituents of a flowing liq. sample having sidewalls defining a tubular passage with inner and outer surfaces, comprises (a) a pair of opposite extension each having an opposite window area at the distal end of each extension; (b) the opposite extensions extending inwardly into the tubular passage from the inner surface in a direction perpendicular to an axis defined by the tubular passage, the extensions having bore holes to receive fibre optic cables; (c) the sidewalls, the extensions and the opposite windows areas being formed of a single integral piece of material; and (d) the window area being transparent to infrared light. Also claimed are (i) an improved measuring system for measurement of the constituent make-up of a liq. sample; and (ii) a method of mfg. a flow cell.</p> |
