<p>PURPOSE: To make it easy to view the cursor display of a pointing device by detecting the predetermined start pattern of a mouse by the pointing device and enlarging and displaying a cursor shape when the pointing device beings to be operated, and putting it back to a normal shape gradually with time. CONSTITUTION: A cursor symbol generating circuit 1 is equipped with an event detection part 2, a timer part 3, a time storage part 4, a locus detection part 5, and a symbol enlargement and reduction part 6. And, the operation of the pointing device is monitored and if an event is detected, the event wait time is calculated in response to the event detection, and when a certain time has elapsed and the start pattern of the pointing device is detected, the cursor is enlarged and displayed. When the certain time has not elapsed and the cursor is enlarged and displayed, the cursor is reduced stepwise and displayed. When the cursor is enlarged and displayed or reduced and put back to the normal display, the current time is store and it is prepared for the next event.</p> |
