PURPOSE: To more easily read a document by extracting the information on the relevant word of retrieval from a dictionary and applying it into a sentence corresponding to the relevant word in the sentence. CONSTITUTION: It is confirmed whether a sentence is held in a document holding part 1 or not. Next, it is investigated by performing retrieval from the head of the sentence whether a word stored in a dictionary 2 exists in the sentence held in the sentence holding part 1 or not. Then, the number of the retrieved word and the position of retrieval in the sentence are stored in a retrieved result holding part 4. When the sentence is completely retrieved to the end, based on the retrieved result stored in the retrieved result holding part 4 provided by a word retrieval processing part 3, an information applying processing part 5 draws the meaning of respective words from the dictionary 2 and adds the meaning of words by adding ≪≫ just after the retrieved word successively. Then, the sentence prepared by meaning processing is displayed on a picture display part 6. |
