PURPOSE: To provide a double row combined conical roller bearing capable of continuous use by replacing only a bearing on one side when the bearing on one side is damaged by continuously and concentrically arranging two double row combined conical roller bearings, and interposing an inter-inner ring seat between the inner rings of the conical roller bearings, and an inter-outer ring seat between the outer rings respectively. CONSTITUTION: Inner rings 4, 4 of double row combined conical roller bearings 1, 1 are fitted to a roll neck 10 of a rolling mill, and outer rings 5, 5 are fitted to a housing. In manufacturing the bearing, the in-plane difference w1 at the face end of the inner ring 4 and the outer ring 5 in the respective double row combined conical roller bearings 1, 1, and the in-plane difference w2 at the face end of an inter-inner ring seat 2 and an inter-outer ring seat 3 are strictly controlled to suppress the variance of the set assembly width W and the inner clearance between the bearings when the bearings are assembled. Because two double row combined conical roller bearings 1, 1 are independent from each other, the continuous use can be realized even only by replacing the damaged double row combined conical roller bearing 1 when one of the double row combined conical roller bearings 1 is damaged, and required to be replaced, and the maintenance cost is reduced. |
