<p>PURPOSE: To suppress vibration of a glass substrate, to make uniform film thickness of a pigment-dispersion resist film and to save the resist liquid by forming a dummy pattern on both side ends of a stripe pattern and in an area out of the effective screen in such a manner that the dummy pattern has larger thickness than the stripe pattern and is formed in the perpendicular direction to the stripe pattern. CONSTITUTION: A pigment-dispersion resist of each color prepared by dispersing black, red, green or blue pigment in a photosensitive resin is applied on a transparent substrate such as a glass substrate by a micro-rod bar resist coating method, and then stripe patterns of plural colors of black, red, green and blue are formed by a photolithographic method to obtain a color filter. In this method, a dummy pattern 11a, 11b is formed in the area out of the effective screen for the first stripe pattern 10 and on both side ends 10a, 10b in such a manner that the dummy pattern has larger thickness than the stripe pattern 10 and is formed perpendicular to the stripe pattern 10.</p> |
