PURPOSE: To provide a high quality and a low-cost characteristic even if a word sound signal storage quantity is reduced. CONSTITUTION: A word sound synthesizer has a sampling word sound signal storage device 41 which has a first signal input terminal and stores a sampling word sound signal according to a reading signal inputted from this first signal input terminal. A word sound signal synthesizing circuit 42 having a second signal input terminal and a sampling word sound signal input terminal is provided. This word sound signal synthesizing circuit 42 repeatedly inputs the same sampling word sound signal plural times from a place of the sampling word sound signal input terminal electrically connected to the sampling word sound signal storage device 41 according to a calculating signal inputted from the second signal input terminal. A word sound synthesizing signal is outputted by calculating a word sound plural times on these repeatedly inputted sampling word sound signals. A frequency of the calculating signal is made higher than a frequency of the reading signal so that the word sound signal synthesizing circuit 42 can complete operation of plural-time word sound calculations in a single period of the reading signal.
