FIELD: production of alloys accumulating hydrogen. SUBSTANCE: titanium, zirconium, and hafnium-based alloys alloyed with V, Cr, Wn, etc. at certain proportions are hydrogen accumulators. Smelting of these is carried out in vacuum induction furnaces in crucibles, made from calcium oxide powder on iron model using burning in air and fixing smelting in vacuum. Crucibles are washed out with smelt close to basic smelt in respect to its composition. Smelting of alloy is conducted under inert atmosphere by way of smelting blend in optimal sequence with account to melting temperatures and vapor pressures of components. Before casting, into mold with smelt, 0.5-1.0% (based on metal weight) of rarely-earth metals is introduced. EFFECT: prepared high-sorption capacity alloys accumulating hydrogen; simplified process of their preparation. |
