FIELD: membrane purification of process liquids in sugar production. SUBSTANCE: pulp-press water obtained in the process of pressing cake is purified on pulp catcher and settled. Decantate from the settler is treated with lime and carbon dioxide to pH 9.2- 9.5, purified from defecosaturation sediment, heated to 50-70 C, and purified to remove microorganisms, high-molecular compounds, colloid-fineness substances, and suspended particles on a fine filter. Economical effect from engineering solution proposed consists in the following: removal of microorganisms from pulp- press water by means of semipermeable membrane of the fine membrane filter reduces the loss of saccharose and thereby increases yield of sugar and eliminates use of toxic substances, such as formalin, chlorine, and ozone from the process. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process. |
