The canvas (5), on which are inscriptions or drawings, is held on a metal frame (1) formed from sections (2). Gussets (3) formed by metal plates are fixed at intervals along the frame perimeter. The canvas is fixed to the frame by clamp fasteners (6) distributed on the panel perimeter behind the front face. Cylinders (4), having a high surface roughness formed by longitudinal flutings regularly distributed on its surface, are mounted in the gussets on all the panel perimeter and outside the external edge of the sections. These cylinders can be rotated by a tool into an angular position where their rotation is locked. The canvas, which is already folded from the panel front face towards the clamp fasteners around these cylinders, is tensioned on the panel front face by braked rotation of the cylinders.
