COMPRESSED AIR SUPPLY SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE COMPRESSED AIR INSTALLATIONS AND PROCESS FOR CONTROLLING SAID SYSTEM

The proposal is for an air compressor (11) from the outlet of which a supply line (17) leads to an air drier (18). On the outlet side of the air drier (18) the supply line (17) splits into at least two branches (17.1 and 17.3) leading to two user circuits (e.g. I and III). The pressure in the user circuits (I and III) can be monitored by pressure sensors (54.1 and 54.3). There is also an electronic control unit (57) to which the pressure sensors (54.1 and 54.3) are connected. The user circuits (I and III) can be cut off from the compressed air supply by a blocking member (40.1 and 40.3) controllable by the programmable electronic control unit (57) and fitted in the supply line branch (17.1 and 17.3) concerned. It is thus possible to control the supply of compressed air to the user circuits (I and III) and the diversion of compressed air from one circuit to the other by the electronic control unit (27). The compressed air supply system may be used in the compressed air systems of commercial vehicles.
