PURPOSE: To easily attain desired edit with a simple procedure. CONSTITUTION: A key board and a mouse 204 and also a drive section of a floppy disk are connected to a CPU 201 of a work station 2. A video signal from a work station 2 is fed to a color display device 202 via a still image file means 1. When an MO disk is set to a driver 103, and also a still image is displayed on a color display device 202, an address of an index image and a full image is stored (13). Then, a mouse 204 or the like is used to move an optional cursor within a range of a desired still image of the displayed image and key operation or the like is made, then the still image corresponding to the range is discriminated (232) by a work station 2 and the address of the desired still full and index image is extracted among addresses stored (13) according to the discrimination. Thus, the full image and the index image read (16) by the driver 103 are written in a memory device 1A and the index image is written in a prescribed address of an image memory 16M and then displayed. |
