PURPOSE: To provide a camera whose electric accessory parts can be used in common even for different kinds by changing only the functions of operation switches by enabling a user to freely define the functions of the operation switches. CONSTITUTION: A selectable operation mode is selected with an operation switch group(SW) 20, the operation mode is displayed at a mode display part, and a specific remote control signal is received by a remote control receiving circuit 36. Then if the remote control signal is received by the remote control receiving circuit 36 during the selection of the operation mode with the operation switch group (SW) 20, a CPU 11 performs deletion operation for disabling the selectable operation mode to be selected or return operation for putting the unselectable operation mode back into the selectable state, and the unselectable state or selectable state of the operation mode is stored in the CPU 11. |
