PURPOSE: To provide a carbon dioxide liquefaction unit obviating the necessity of an elevation-type gas holder as a large-sized equipment and thus designed to realizing both installation space and cost saving. CONSTITUTION: Carbon dioxide from a carbon dioxide generation tank 1 is fed through a feed pipe 5 to a scrubbing tower 2, and the carbon dioxide from the scrubbing tank is sucked through a suction pipe 5 into a compressor 3, and the resultant compressed carbon dioxide gas is fed through a delivery pipe 7 to a liquefaction device 4. The feed pipe 5 is equipped with a pressure control valve 8b to be set open in response to command signals from an upper limit pressure controller 8a mounted on the scrubbing tower and the feed pipe 5 and to leak part of the carbon dioxide gas from the tank 1 into the air, and there is also equipped a returning pipe 10 branched from the delivery pipe 7 and connected to the scrubbing tower 2, and the returning pipe is equipped with a pressure control valve to be set open in response to command signals from a lower limit pressure controller 11a mounted on the scrubbing tower 2, feed pipe 5 or suction pipe 6 and to return a part of the carbon dioxide delivered from the compressor to the scrubbing tower 2 or suction pipe 6. |
