摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To provide an effective treating method of high concn. ammonium ion and lower amines in a waste water. CONSTITUTION: Anaerobic bacteria can decompose only a few and limited kind of organic materials in comparison with aerobic bacteria which have a property of relatively easily decomposing the organic materials. And the anaerobic bacteria are slow in speed to decompose the organic materials, but have an excellent property of converting a lower molecular weight nitrogen-containing component to gaseous nitrogen to release out of system. Then, the organic materials, lower amines such as ethylenediamine in the case, are previously decomposed by the aerobic bacteria to convert to ammonia. The coexisting ammonia and the resultant ammonia are derived to NO2 <-> , NO3 <-> by nitrification bacteria and are finally converted into gaseous N2 by the anaerobic bacteria to release the nitrogen component out of system. In this way, the high concn. ammonium ion and the lower amines in the waste water are efficiently removed.</p>
