PURPOSE: To eliminate existence of a seam part of two covers in the region which is exposed to the line of view of a driver, by forming a front wall, which extends from the front extremity of the upper wall of a module cover for an air bag, in a long stretching shape so as to cover the front part of the lower cover of a steering wheel part. CONSTITUTION: A module 20 for an air bag has an upper wall 2 which encloses over a base plate 10 fixed to the central position of a steering wheel 9. A front wall 22 is extended to the lower cover 21 of the steering wheel part positioned below the base plate 10 from the front extremity of the upper wall 2 so that the part ahead of the base plate 10 is enclosed. A front fixing piece 11 is extended toward the base plate 10 from on the way of the front wall 22 and secured to the front extremity of the base plate 10. From the tail of the upper wall 2 a rear fixing piece 7 is extended so as to overlap on the rear side wall of the base plate 10 and secured to the rear side wall 6. The front wall 22 is formed long stretching so as to enclose the front surface of the lower cover 21 of the steering wheel part. Accordingly the seal of the module cover 20 and lower cover 21 does not exist in the region exposed to the line of view 14 of the driver. |
