PURPOSE: To print a newspaper having a partially different advertising page by providing an ink jet printing unit and further providing a section for forming a blank space where no printing is made on the web, on a part of a printing plate to be attached to the printing cylinder of a printing device. CONSTITUTION: When a printing plate for advertisement is mounted on the printing cylinder 5a of a printing device B1, and a rotary press is operated, advertising print 12 consisting of a photographic printing part 12a and a blank part 12b appears on one side of a web 1. Then if the web 1 is drawn out of the outlet of a printing device 1a, and reaches an area near an ink jet printing unit F, an identification mark 12c printed by the printing device 1a is detected by the sensor 10a of the unit F. This detection signal is sent to a head control part 10, an ink jet head 9 is activated to print the name of a car dealer controlling the region where the covers and newspaper carrying the advertisement is distributed. The web 1 printed is stacked with the web 1 running out of the other printing device B, and is cut and folded to a specified size by a folding part C. |
