<p>PURPOSE: To improve the advancement and the cuttability of a cutter blade, and to straight-cut the recording material at the prescribed position in a constantly stable manner by providing a means to displace the cutter blade in the different direction from the cutting direction of the cutter blade in starting the cutting to allow the cutting blade to be advanced to the cutting position. CONSTITUTION: A cutter unit 2 provided with a cutter blade 3 and a guide roller 4 is turnably arranged on a pin 2 fitted to the lower part of a cutter base 5, and constantly deviated upward by a tensile spring 6. When the cutting operation is started, the cutter unit 2 is traveled in the right direction accompanied by the cutter blade 3. The guide roller 4 reaches a tapered member 9a first, and is lowered along the tapered member 9a, and the cutter unit 2 is turned counterclockwise against the effect of the spring 6. When this operation is viewed as the action of the cutter 3, the cutter blade 3 is traveled to achieve the cutting while being advanced into the recording material 1, and the resistance given to the recording material 1 is reduced as much as possible to keep the straightness of the cutting edge.</p> |
