PURPOSE: To allow even a system not having an optical zoomup function to conduct zoom up. CONSTITUTION: In the case of making a zoomup request, its designation is applied to a zoom area designation circuit 21. An image signal input section 12 acquires an image and outputs the image to a coding format conversion circuit 22. Upon the receipt of a zoom up request from an opposite device, a zoomup control section 1a designates a zoomup area to a coded format conversion circuit 22. The coding format conversion circuit 22 applies format conversion to an area designated of zoomup by an image signal inputted from an image signal input section 12 so as to be an image signal for one pattern of a normalized format and outputs to a coding circuit 3 as its input signal. The coding circuit 3 codes the signal as an image signal to be sent to the opposite device. |
