PURPOSE: To shorten waiting time from significantly and to eliminate such an inconvenience that a great deal of power is wastefully consumed in standby state by deciding set temperature and a time for temperature control on a fixing roller part in the standby state based on the number of image forming processing before forming a final image while taking actual using condition into consideration. CONSTITUTION: This image forming device is provided with a fixing roller part 1 thermally fixing a toner image on a transferring paper, a heat source 2 inside the roller part 1 heating the roller part 1, and a temperature controlling part 3 controlling the heat source 2 and setting the temperature of the roller part 1 to a specified value. The device is provided with a condition recognizing part 4 recognizing whether the device is in the middle of forming an image or in the middle of standby, a time detecting part 5 capable of recognizing the time for forming the final image according to the part 4 and detecting a previously decided time before forming the final image, and a processing counting part 6 counting the number of the processing occurring within the time detected by the part 5. The set temperature for the temperature control of the part 1 in the case of standby after forming the image is decided by the counting condition of the part 6. |
