PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective data storage format and a method and device for storing data for a graphic object constituted of splines or similar one. SOLUTION: In a method for storing data defining the graphic outline of an object, a curved segment constituting a straight segment is decided, and then control points in a first number are stored for each curved segment which does not constitute the straight segment (37, 38). Then, control points in a degenerate number are stored for each curved segment constituting the straight segment (36, 39). Also, the curved segment is constituted of splines having data describing four control points, and the control points are stored in a relative format. |
