PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the encoding efficiency of object directional analyzer- synthesizer by accurately dividing a video into mobile objects, and accurately estimating the motion of the mobile object. SOLUTION: Two input signal, that is, a present frame signal and a restored previous frame signal are respectively inputted to a change detector 100 and a motion estimator 102. This change detector 100 compares the present frame signal with the restored previous frame signal, and searches a changed area from a background in the present frame. The information of the detected changed area is transmitted to a motion estimation 102 and a motion vector field detector 103. Then, a shield block detecting/area growing circuit 104 divides the motion vector field into mobile objects, and describes each movement of the mobile object with one set of motion parameters. Thus, one video can be accurately separated by the mobile objects, and each motion of the mobile object can be estimated. |
