PURPOSE: To obtain a method for forming a single- or multi-color OHP image using a thermal transfer system with a predetermined transmission density, a good transparency of a transfer ink layer and a substrate, and superior image- receiving sheet feed properties. CONSTITUTION: In a thermal transfer recording material for use, a thermal ink layer containing 30-70 pts.wt. pigment and 25-60 pts.wt. organic high- molecular polymer having a softening point of 40-150 deg.C ranging 0.2-2.0μm in film thickness is provided, the pigment in the thermal ink layer has an area base average particle diameter of 0.6 f m or less, and an optical transmission density of a transfer image is not less than 1.0. Using the thermal transfer recording material, the thermal ink layer on the thermal transfer recording material is thermally transferred onto a transparent substrate by a thermal head. |
