PURPOSE: To enable a user who enters a toll road with a magnetic card to exit with an IC card by reading data out of the magnetic card and writing the data on the IC card. CONSTITUTION: The magnetic card C2 received when the user enters the toll road and the IC card C1 that the user bears are inserted into insertion slots 5a and 5b respectively. When the magnetic card C2 is inserted, the entry data recorded on the magnetic card C2 are read out and stored in a RAM. Then the read entry data are written in the memory of the IC card C1 which is inserted into the insertion slot 5a and loaded in a main body 1, and then the IC card C1 is returned. The magnetic card C2 after the entry data are rewritten to the IC card C1 is processed by magnetic data erasure, etc., for prevention against illegal reuse and collected in the main body 1. Therefore, the user after the entry data are rewritten to the IC card C1 can pass through a toll gate without stopping. |
