PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garden lighting system having low voltage power distribution lines which can be informally and safely laid in a garden and having a comparatively much higher and/or cost effective light output than when using other forms of fluorescent lamps. SOLUTION: This lighting system for a garden includes a plurality of fluorescent lamps supplied with low voltage power (12 volt) flowing in a cable 14 extending between fluorescent lamp sockets 15. Each of the sockets 15 has converter circuits for generating a high voltage high frequency power supply. |
