PURPOSE: To obtain an optical disk capable of improving durability to repetitive overwriting. CONSTITUTION: This optical disk is constituted by laminating at least a first dielectric layer 2, a recording layer 3 which is reversibly changed between crystalline and amorphous phases by irradiation with a laser beam, a second dielectric layer 4 and a reflection layer 5 on a translucent substrate 1. The surface of the reflection layer is provided with a protective film 6 so as to suppress the generation of internal stresses. The optical disk is constituted to have such adhesive power that the adhesive power between the recording layer 3 and the second dielectric layer 2 attains 10 in the evaluation score in the adhesion test by the cross-cut adhesion method stipulated in JIS-K5400. As a result, the durability is improved and the repetitive overwriting of >=10000 times is possible. |
