PURPOSE: To provide an output level conversion circuit which has its small constitution area and can operate fast with small current consumption. CONSTITUTION: When Va (signal voltage entered to a terminal 11a) is higher than Vb (signal voltage entered to a terminal 11b), Both Q1 and Q2 are turned on and the voltage V1 is equal to the power voltage VCC. When Va is lower than Vb, the Q1 and Q2 are turned off and on respectively and the voltage V1 is equal to (VCC-R1×i1). The MOS drive voltage V2 and V3 which are outputted from a Q3 are equal to (V1-VBE) and (V2-R2×i2) respectively. Then the threshold level VS1 of drive voltage of a p-MOS (M1) is set approximate to (VCC-VBE), and the threshold level VS2 of drive voltage of an n-MOS (M2) is set approximate to (VCC-R1×i1-VBE-R2×i2). When Va>Vb is satisfied, M1 and M2 are turned off and on respectively. Then M1 and M2 are turned on and off respectively when Va<Vb is satisfied.
