A pitching damping device for a construction machine that can provide an effective vibration damping action by suppressing pitching without making a vehicle body larger. To this end, a gyrostabilizer (10) mounted on an upper swinging body (2) comprises a rotary body (11) having a great inertia moment and adapted to rotate at a high speed around a gyro axis (J) by means of a driving motor (12), and a support member (13) for rockingly supporting the rotary body (11) about a precession axis (P) intersecting perpendicularly to the gyro shaft (J), wherein one of the gyro axis (J) and the precession axis (P) is disposed in parallel to a swing axis (S), while the other is disposed perpendicularly to a pitching axis of the upper swinging body (2).
