<p>A fluid-holding container (10) and a member for mounting (11) the container (10) to an object. The container (10) is formed to have a concave bottom portion (20) and sidewalls (14) connected to the bottom portion (20). At the center of the bottom portion, a channel (21) extends into the interior of the container (10). The channel (21) is adapted to engage with a securing post (30) of the mounting member (11). The mounting member (11) includes a base portion (25) that is attached to the object. The distance between the sidewalls (14) and the center axis (18) of the container (10) is substantially equal to the distance between the center of the securing post and the base portion (25), thus assuring a secure attachment of the container (10) to the mounting member (11). The present invention is suitable for use in mounting a water bottle to a bicycle (35).</p> |
