A production plant for an elongated metal product is described, which includes, in order, means (1) for producing a metal blank (B) in a first rectilinear direction (x'-x), one or more blooming stands (2) and one or more finishing stands (5), and one or more machines for reeling the wire (F) thus produced. The plant of the invention includes a first production and blooming section (A) centrally located in the first conveyance path (x'-x), a second finishing section (B) centrally located in a second conveyance path (y'-y) extending from a branching-off point (O) on the first path (x'-x), at an angle (i) therewith, and a third section (C) with means (3) for cutting the blank (B) into successive straight bars (G) and means for discharging said bars (G), wherein means (4) for selectively deviating the blank (B) are located at the branching-off point (O). |
