摘要

Optically active trans-quinolinecarboxylic acid derivatives represented by general formula (I), having potent antibacterial activities against gram-positive bacteria and MRSA, and salts thereof, antibacterial agents containing the same as the active ingredient; and optically active pyrrolidine derivatives represented by general formula (II) and salts thereof, serving as intermediates for the synthesis of the above quinolinecarboxylic acid derivatives.
