<p>A double-acting pump has two cavities, each of which is divided into an operating chamber (6) and a working chamber (5) by means of a movable partition wall (4). The working chambers are located close together and each is fitted with a valve-controlled inlet and outlet (7, 9; 8, 9) for pump-transported liquid working medium. A device (16) for transmitting movement of one partition wall to the other extends between the movable partition walls (4). Each of the working chambers (5) is connected to a common working medium inlet chamber (11) located between said chambers (5) through the medium of a flap valve (7, 9) mounted in a respective working chamber wall (3) and opening in response to underpressure in an associated working chamber, and connectable through the medium of a respective outlet opening (8) provided in a respective working chamber wall (3) to a common working medium outlet chamber (12) located between said working chambers (5), wherein the outlet openings (8) can be closed by a valve flap (9) that reacts to underpressure, when an underpressure prevails in the working chamber associated with said openings (8).</p> |
