摘要 In a coupleable-component cam follower (1) consisting of an inner component (2) and an outer component (3), the inner component (2) containing a hydraulic clearance compensator (10), the two components (2, 3) are connected via radial couplers (4). A hydraulic medium is applied to said couplers (4) and to a hydraulic clearance compensator (10) via separate channels (9, 8) from a cylinder head of the internal combustion engine. According to the invention, the springs (5) for the couplers (4) are designed in such a way that the components (2, 3) are decoupled at a hydraulic medium pressure of some 0.6 bar (idling speed). When a coupling speed, e.g. 3,000 rpm, is reached, the hydraulic pressure in the channel (9) is reduced to about 0.1 bar by a control valve (11). The couplers (4) are moved into the coupling position by the springs (5). Both components (2, 3) are physically coupled together. At the same time the unchoked hydraulic pressure remains applied to channel (8) so that the clearance compensator (10) is still supplied with the optimum hydraulic pressure even when the revolution speed of the internal combustion engine increases.
