METHOD FOR PREVENTING CLOGGING IN NOZZLE OF AL-LESS TI DEOXIDIZED STEEL

PURPOSE: To prevent surface defects by preventing the clogging in a nozzle made of an Al-less Ti deoxidized steel as the Al-less Ti deoxidized steel is extremely little in the defects of the product but the clogging in the nozzles occurs therein. CONSTITUTION: The nozzle 1 material is formed of a material 3 contg. CaO.ZrO2 grains in continuous casting of the Al-less Ti deoxidized steel. A low m.p. phase of a TiO2 -SiO2 -Al2 O3 -CaO-ZrO2 system is formed when the Ti3 O5 suspended in molten steel is captured by coming into collision against the nozzle 1, by which the clogging in the nozzle made of the Al-less Ti deoxidized steel is prevented and mass production is made possible.
