PURPOSE: To prevent an endoscope inspection from being interrupted halfway by arranging a connection cable for connecting between an external battery which lights a light source lamp and the light source lamp to eliminate the need for replacing the battery even at a location having no commercial AC power source. CONSTITUTION: An incoming end part of a light guide fiber bundle 9 is arranged in an operating mechanism part and an outgoing end part thereof is arranged at the tip of an inserting part passing through the inserting part and a grip part of an operating part 2. An illumination light supply unit 30 for supplying illumination light to the light guide fiber bundle 9 is mounted on a side part of the operating mechanism part free to load or unload. Moreover, the illumination light supply unit 30 is connected to an external battery 60 by a connection cable 61 to supply the illumination light of the light source lamp 32 to the light guide fiber bundle 9. Besides, a connector 69 may be pulled off the illumination light supply unit 30 and instead, a battery can be built into the illumination light supply unit 30. |
