PURPOSE: To obtain a microporous body which is constituted with a three- dimensional and continuous network skeleton of a specific skeletal diameter and cell average diameter, is excellent in pore uniformity, elasticity and resistance to chemicals and heat, and useful as a dialysis membrane by admixing a low-molecular-weight material to a specific copolymer, then removing the low-molecular-weight material. CONSTITUTION: (A) A copolymer mainly from ethylene (A1 ) and vinyl acetate (A2 ) in which the content of (A2 ) is 1-45wt.% is mixed with (B) a low-molecular- weight material, then the component B is removed to give this porous body constituted with a three-dimensional continuous network skeletal with an average skeletal diameter of <=8μm and an average cell diameter of <=150μm. This porous body is obtained, e.g. by admixing the component B to the component A so that the content of the component A may be kept at <=40% to build up a macromolecular network structure holding the component B between the three-dimensional network structure made of the component A, then removing the component B therefrom.
