PURPOSE: To make conspicuous the presence of a sign post even from a comparatively remote place, and to prevent occurrence of an accident by a method wherein an annular illuminant is inserted detachably to the columnar sign post and installed to a base section, an LED light-emitted by electric conduction is incorporated into the illuminant and the optical-axis line of the LED is directed towards the sign post side. CONSTITUTION: A sign post 1 is formed of a hollow pipe consisting of a urethane resin. An illuminant body 5 is inserted from the upper end of the sign post 1, and mounted detachably on a post base section 7. A through-hole is bored at the central section of the illuminant 5, and a recess 9 fitted to a base 3 is formed to an inner base. An inclined plane 11 is formed to a peripheral section 10 by an inverted pan- shaped synthetic-resin molded form. A top-face wall 12 section is made of a transparent body, and light-emitting elements 13 and a power supply section 14 are buried into the synthetic-resin molded form and the light-emitting elements 13 are arranged annularly at approximately regular intervals. When electricity is conducted, the sign post 1 is irradiated uniformly from a lower section, thus keeping an irradiation rate constant. Accordingly, visibility is improved while the illuminant body 5 can be exchanged simply. |
