PURPOSE: To obtain a reversible thermal recording material suitable for a card wide in a transparentizing temp. region and an opacifying temp. region by adding a polymeric resin matrix and an org. monomeric compd. dispersed therein as main components and using fatty acid ester consisting of fatty acid and cholesterol as the org. monomeric compd. CONSTITUTION: In a reversible thermal recording material capable of repeatedly displaying and erasing a visible image, a polymeric resin matrix and an org. monomeric compd. dispersed therein are added as main components and the org. monomeric compd. contains at least one kind of fatty acid ester consisting of fatty acid and cholesterol and at least one kind of fatty acid having a steroid skeleton. Pref., fatty acid ester consists of 8C or more fatty acid and cholesterol. As fatty acid having a steroid skeleton, there are cholanic acid, cholic acid, lithocholic acid, deoxycholic acid, hyodeoxycholic acid and chenodeoxycholic acid. |
