PURPOSE: To obtain an aerosol can mountain cap made of a polyester resin coated steel panel excellent in corrosion resistance. CONSTITUTION: A resin coated steel panel composed of a surface treated steel panel having a crystalline saturated polyester resin film characterized by that elongation at break is 70% or more, a yield point is 10kg/m<2> or less and the adhesion force to the surface treated steel panel is 1.5kg/10mm or more is subjected to press processing to be heat-treated within the temp. range from the glass transition point of the polyester resin film to the m.p. thereof. Or, a resin coated steel panel wherein a polyester resin film has a two-layered structure and the upper layer thereof has an oriented crystal structure with high m.p. and characterized by that a surface orientation coefficient is 0.070 or more and the m.p. of the lower layer thereof is lower than that the upper layer thereof and the m.p. difference between both layers is 15-90 deg.C is subjected to press processing to be heat-treated within the temp. range from the glass transition point of the upper layer resin film to the m.p. thereof.
