The invention concerns a safety binding for telemark, cross-country and ski-jumping skis. A resilient return means (6; 16) holds the front part of the sole (13) within a safety stop (2; 3) and, in particular, permits lateral or diagonal disengagement of the ski boot under great torsional stress. A rear part (9) bears on an insert (14) located in the sole (13).
