The invention concerns a hydraulic motor-vehicle brake system with anti-locking control and automatic actuation of the brakes to control the drive and/or travel dynamics, with a brake-pressure generator connected hydraulically via pressure-modulation valves (3) to at least one wheel brake and a hydraulic-fluid accumulator, with at least one pump whose aspiration side is connected to the hydraulic-fluid accumulator and whose compression side is connected to a hydraulic path (13) running from the pressure generator to the wheel brake, the path including the pressure-modulation valves (3) and a pressure sensor (1) connected between the brake-pressure generator and the presure-modulation valves (3).
