<p>PURPOSE: To manage image data, which are encoded for the unit of a picture group, within prescribed unit time by forming the image data corresponding to the prescribed unit time for the unit fo prescribed frame groups while adaptively switching the number of picture in the picture group composed of image data corresponding to the transmission rate of input image data. CONSTITUTION: Since the transmission rate is 25 frames/second when the image data depends on a 625/50 system, 25 frames are required for obtaining image data corresponding to one second. Then, a frame processing part 2 alternately dynamically switches the number N of frames in the picture group to 12 and 13 corresponding to a control signal during frame reading. As a result, the image data of 25 frames are formed in just two screen groups and image data for one second can be formed. The respective picture types of the frame are rearranged from a rearranging circuit 7 and send to a codec 4. In this case, it is necessary to turn the final frame of the picture group to a P (inter-frame encoded image) picture for standard.</p> |
