PURPOSE: To judge normal or defective condition of a solar battery by converting the output voltage and current of a standard solar cell in the specific environment into output voltage and current in the measuring environment, comparing the results with the output voltage and current that are measured from a solar cell to be measured and indicating the results thereafter. CONSTITUTION: A storage circuit 52 stores a temperature T1 in a reference state, quantity of solar radiation E1 , serial resistance RS of standard solar cell, correction factor K, shortcircuit current ISC, change α of the current sc at every 1 deg.C, release voltage VOC, and change β of the voltage VOC at every 1 deg.VC. A storage circuit 53 stores the current and voltage characteristics of the standard cell in a reference state, and a storage circuit 54 stores a quantity of solar radiation E2 , temperature T2 , output voltage v, and output current i of a solar cell to be measured. A processing part 40 computes formulae I and II based on the voltage V1 and current I1 of the standard cell whose current and voltage characteristics is stored in the circuit 53 and the data of the circuits 52 and 54, so as to obtain the voltage and current characteristics of the standard cell in the measuring environment and the power and voltage characteristics as well. Further, the power value is calculated based on the voltages v and i and the respective voltage, current and power value are indicated by an indication circuit 61. |
