PURPOSE: To provide a flareless type pipe joint by which fastening by means of a tool can be dispensed with in connection of a metal pipe to a nipple. CONSTITUTION: A fitting stepped part 6 to which a metal pipe 5 is fitted is formed in the axial center of a pipe connecting part 4 in a nipple 1, while a pressure receiving stepped part 10 is formed in the front end side inner circumference part in the pipe connecting part 4 so as to arrange a clearance between the metal pipe 5 and the pipe connection part 4, and in the clearance, the first sleeve 8 and an O-ring 7 are fitted, while a pressing face 14 which is recessed conically is formed in the bottom part of the first sleeve 8. The second sleeve 16 possessing a contact face 17 which is parallel to the pressing face 14 is fitted to the metal pipe 5, while the second sleeve 16 is held and fixed by means of a cap 11, and between the first sleeve 8 and the second sleeve 16, a flareless type washer 15 in which an inclination of a conical face is larger than that of the pressing face 14 and that of the contact face 17 in these sleeves is fitted, so that an inner circumference side edge part 23 is brought into tight contact with the metal pipe 5 while the outer circumference is held by means of the cap 11. |
