PURPOSE: To easily and safely detach and replace toner storage containers and a waste toner container, incorporated in a process cartridge, or supply toner. CONSTITUTION: The top of the process cartridge 30 for housing a photoreceptor drum 10, a developing device 13, a cleaner 19, etc., is opened, the toner storage containers 40 and waste toner container 50 connected with them, are arranged in the cartridge and near its top, and it is covered by a shield member integrated with the top cover 90 of the main body of the device. The top of the cartridge 30 is exposed by opening the top cover 90 or by drawing the cartridge 30 out of the device, thereby enabling the replacement of the toner storage containers 40 and waste toner container 50. |
