<p>PURPOSE: To provide a durable developer not causing the increase of the surface stain of a white paper part in the case of repetitive use or the lowering of image density owing to contamination by the scattering of toner particles and the increase of the quantity of electric charges by using a higher fatty acid salt as an additive for a carrier coating agent. CONSTITUTION: A higher fatty acid salt is contained as an additive for an electrophotographic carrier coating agent. Calcium stearate, magnesium stearate or zinc stearate is preferably used as the higher fatty acid salt. This electrophotographic carrier is preferably obtd. by adding and dispersing fine particles of the higher fatty acid salt in a soln. of a resin as the carrier coating agent by <=10 pts.wt., preferably 0.001-5 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the coating resin and coating a core material with the soln. Silicone resin or styrene-acrylic resin is suitable for use as the coating resin.</p> |
