PURPOSE: To easily input an easy-to-read address, etc., in a good style in a short time when inputting the address of a postal card by inserting a space at the character position right after specific character data or character string data in character data. CONSTITUTION: A CPU 2 decides whether or not the specific character data or character string data stored in a RAM 4 are included in document (plural character string data) generated by inputting character data through an input device 5 such as a keyboard. When the data are included, a space is inserted at the character position right after the specific character data or character string data in the document according to a ROM 3. Therefore, when the address to be printed on the postal card is inputted, the user inserts the specific space (for example, between a city, town, or village name registered in a zip code dictionary and a street name following it to discriminate between the both) without being aware of the format and a print result, so that the easy-to-read address can be inputted in a good style in a short time. |
