<p>PURPOSE: To recover a polymerization catalyst efficiently by neutralizing and separating it, then converting it into hydroxide and hardly soluble salts by double decomposition reaction, and separating the salt, when recovering the polymerization catalyst from polyoxyalkylene obtained by performing a ring opening addition polymerization of an alkyleneoxide. CONSTITUTION: When recovering a polymerization catalyst from a polyoxyalkylene obtained by performing a ring opening addition polymerization of an alkyleneoxide in the presence of a polymerization catalyst, first the polymerization catalyst in the unrefined polyoxyalkylene is neutralized, and the polymerization catalyst-neutralized product is converted into hydroxide and hardly soluble salts by double decomposition reaction. After that, a polymerization catalyst component is recovered as hydroxide by separating the hardly soluble salts from the hydroxide. A filtration separation method, a sedimentation method or a centrifugal separation method is used as a method of separating the hardly soluble salts from the hydroxide. An alkali polymerization catalyst, especially a cesium polymerization catalyst or a rubidium polymerization catalyst is used as a polymerization catalyst of the alkyleneoxide.</p> |
