Date Mar. 31, 1994A valve needle suitable for injection valves for fuel injection systems of internal combustion engines. The new valve needle includes a tubular actuation part, an armature section and a valve sleeve section and is manufactured by injection moulding and subsequent sintered according to a metal injection moulding method. Subsequently, the actuation part is connected to a valve closing element section by means of a weld connection such that the valve needle is manufactured in a simple and cost-effective manner.
