FIELD: power engineering; nuclear fuel storage and handling facilities. SUBSTANCE: container has body with dampers installed at container ends and having steel cylindrical shell filled with wood, and safety casing placed above cylindrical part of container body. Slit-type channel is formed between inner wall of damper and container ends that has top and bottom ports; safety casing is horseshoe-shaped structure with slit-type window on top and open bottom part installed in a spaced relation to container body surface. EFFECT: provision for natural air circulation and intensive heat transfer from container surface which improves container reliability.
